Our Commercial Cell pilot project, based at our Oakland headquarters, is the proving ground for Aepnus' electrolysis technology. Here, we are fine-tuning every aspect of the system—maximizing performance, enhancing durability, and ensuring it’s ready for commercial deployment. This facility also serves as a hands-on testbed for customers, allowing them to send in samples for testing and validation. At Aepnus, we’re turning cutting-edge innovation into commercial reality.

Our pilot project in Bécancour, Quebec, marks a significant milestone in the development of Aepnus' electrochemical technology platform. Supported by industry leaders Ultium CAM (GM x Posco), Vale, and Nemaska Lithium, the system is operated with sodium sulfate sourced directly from these partners' plants.
This pilot project is a critical step toward scaling up to our first commercial plant. By validating our technology with real-world inputs, we’re paving the way for the next phase of deployment, bringing cost-effective, sustainable, and scalable solutions to the chemical industry.
